Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing

Sri Lanka institute of marketing (SLIM) is incorporated by act of Parliament of the Democratic Socialistic Republic of Sri Lanka in 1980, and has been promoting marketing excellence and elevating the status of marketing in Sri Lanka since then. SLIM is a member of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Marketing Research Industries, and of the Asia Marketing Federation (AMF), which is affiliated to the (WMA) World Marketing Association.

SLIM has identified the requirement of a marketing base to Sri Lankan economy and has become the national platform of the marketers. With the vision ‘to lead the nation’s efforts towards economic prosperity’ SLIM has engaged in a mission to establish marketing as the driving force, which enhances business and national value’.

From the many CSR projects they have conducted, SLIM has identified the ‘Gamata Marketing’ project as the best way to fulfill the lack of enthusiasm and progress of entrepreneurship in rural areas.
